The new hotel at Silver Slipper Casino in Hancock County will open this Memorial Day Weekend.
“Our first guest will cross the threshold at 4 p.m.,” general manager John Ferrucci said Friday.
“We’re already sold out for the weekend,” he said, and are taking reservations for the summer and beyond.
The bottom three floors of the hotel will open first, providing 72 guest rooms.
“There’s been a lot of pent-up demand for this hotel,” he said. Until now, the only “accommodations” were the RV park down the beach from the Hancock County resort. It’s new and people want to see it, said Ferrucci.
The fourth floor of the hotel, which is on the beach between the casino and the water, should open in early June and the top two floors of suites later this summer.
